Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how Utilities Haven handles information when you visit the website and use its online tools. It covers browser-based calculations and data utilities, technical website information, and the availability of optional analytics, cookies, and future advertising.
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to Utilities Haven's website, calculators, developer utilities, and related guides. External websites linked from Utilities Haven operate under their own privacy policies.
Information We Process
You may intentionally enter text, numbers, dates, or other values into a tool. Those values are processed in your browser to produce the result you request and are not submitted to a Utilities Haven application endpoint.
Loading any website requires ordinary network requests. A hosting provider may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic information, to deliver, maintain, and protect the service.
Utilities Haven does not operate an on-site contact form or user accounts. If you use the email link on the Contact page, your message is handled by your email provider and the services used to receive that email.
How Our Browser-Based Tools Work
The JSON Formatter & Validator, CSV to JSON Converter, and JWT Decoder process supported input within your browser rather than sending it to an Utilities Haven application processing endpoint. The currently available calculators also perform their calculations in your browser.
Tool values are held in the page's temporary memory while you work. The application code does not save them to cookies, local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB. JSON and CSV output is placed on your system clipboard only when you select the relevant copy action.
Browser-local processing reduces unnecessary transmission, but it is not an absolute privacy or security guarantee. The website itself must still be delivered by a hosting service. Avoid entering passwords, private keys, active access tokens, financial account details, or other sensitive information. JWT decoding only makes header and payload data readable; it does not verify a signature, authenticate a token, or prove that its claims are trustworthy.
Analytics and Website Measurement
Utilities Haven uses optional Google Analytics 4 measurement. Tracking remains disabled for each visitor unless they affirmatively accept analytics. After acceptance, it can help us understand page visits, which available tools are opened, and whether supported tool actions complete successfully.
We do not intentionally include calculator inputs or results, JSON or CSV content, JWTs or decoded claims, clipboard content, contact messages, or other free-text input in custom analytics event parameters. Google may also process technical information associated with analytics requests, such as IP-derived location, device and browser information, and identifiers stored in Google Analytics cookies. That processing is governed by Google's terms and privacy practices.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
When optional analytics is enabled, Google Analytics does not load unless you explicitly accept it. If accepted, Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies and use related technologies. Utilities Haven stores only your versioned analytics consent choice in local storage; tool inputs and outputs are not stored there.
A consent prompt lets you accept or reject optional analytics, and an Analytics preferences control appears in the site footer so you can change that choice. Withdrawing consent prevents new application analytics events and attempts to remove eligible first-party GA4 cookies without deleting unrelated cookies. A page reload provides the cleanest browser state after withdrawal because downloaded script code cannot be fully unloaded from a running page.
Advertising and Potential Future Google AdSense Use
Google AdSense and other advertising services are not currently enabled. The application does not contain ad-serving scripts or advertising-cookie controls, and this policy does not imply that advertising has been approved or activated.
This policy will be updated before an advertising service is enabled, including details about the provider, its data practices, and any visitor choices that apply.
Hosting and Service Providers
Utilities Haven is hosted using Vercel. Vercel processes network requests and may create operational, security, and diagnostic logs needed to deliver and protect the website. Vercel's handling of that information is also governed by its own policies and the site owner's account configuration.
Data Retention and Security
Browser-local tool values remain in temporary page state until you replace or clear them, leave the page, or reload it. The application has no database for storing tool inputs. Hosting or other infrastructure logs may follow the provider's own retention practices.
The GA4 property is configured with a two-month retention period for the user-level and event-level data covered by that GA4 setting. This does not mean that every type of data processed by Google is deleted after two months, and it does not set the retention period for Vercel or other service providers.
Utilities Haven uses a limited application architecture and browser-local processing where practical to reduce unnecessary data handling. No website or transmission method can provide an absolute guarantee of privacy or security.
Third-Party Websites
Links to external websites or services take you outside Utilities Haven. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review before providing information to them.
Privacy Choices and Rights
You can choose what non-sensitive information to enter into a tool, clear its controls, leave the page, manage cookies or site storage through your browser settings. You can also change your optional analytics choice through Analytics preferences in the footer. Utilities Haven does not offer an account dashboard or use a Google Analytics User-ID for this website.
Privacy rights vary by location. To ask a privacy question or make a request, use the available method on the Contact page.
Children's Privacy
Utilities Haven is a general-audience collection of work and productivity tools; it is not designed specifically for children. Utilities Haven does not create user accounts or perform age verification. Children should not enter personal or sensitive information into the tools.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the website's features, providers, or data practices change. Material additions such as advertising, new providers, or a working contact method should be reflected here before they are activated. The date at the top identifies the latest published revision.
